Always Only For My King

Take my voice and let me sing always, only for my King. Take my lips and let them be filled with messages from Thee. Take my silver and my gold not a mite would I withhold. Take my intellect and use every power as You choose. Here am I, all of me. Take my life, it's all for Thee.

crazy fun-filled weekend

this weekend was a crazy weekend, but it was great! on saturday, heather and janel make some "comfort food" for some friends. there was fried chicken, stuffing, fried catfish, salad, macaroni and cheese, collard greens, sweet potatoes, and sweet potato pie. needless to say, i did not get around to the pie! it was quite yum.

sunday, i went to church with nat, dennis, and grace at Community Evangelical Free Church at Judah Christian school. it was a good time of worship and a good message by pastor shea (yay for shea, as dennis might say). the message was from james 5:7-11, and the theme was focusing on the future of the Lord's coming, rather than the present. it struck home with me because i was fretting about the present, and it helped put me in the right persepective. afterwards, i got to stuff my face some more with some monte cristos, salad, and potato salad.

for dinner, on sunday, nat and i headed over to joshua and sarah's house to have dinner with them and corey and jennifer. joshua and sarah's babies (isaiah about 2, and gideon about 2 months) have gotten so much bigger! they're cute. joshua has been remodeling their house, and it's been so neat to see all the changes each time that we go! but we had turkey, stuffing, salad, and this yummy corn bread thing. yum!

i've totally neglected reading my homework this weekend, so i'm doing it now. gotta go! oh yeah! saturday was my brother's birthday! Happy birthday Charles. and it was patrick's birthday too! Happy birthday Patrick!
