pleasantly surprised

i've been taking advantage of my library by checking out movies that i've been wanting to see. i must say, i've been pleasantly surprised with how family friendly many of the movies we've seen are--hairspray (the newest version), night at the museum, no reservations.

i don't know if it's b/c of the news we read or the shows we watch on tv, but when we've watched these movies we've always thought the worst things were going to happen--someone gets kidnapped, someone gets raped, someone gets beaten up, etc. so it's refreshing to watch these movies that prove our expectations wrong.
