Christmas fun! :)

i feel so blessed because i love and get along well with nat's family. we've had a great couple of days in colorado, and it's been nice and comfortable. ;) i'm so thankful for my relationship with my in-laws!

well, this is the first Christmas i've had that was filled with tradition. in nat's family, they open stocking stuffers in the morning. after we've gotten all the stocking stuffers opened, nat's mom starts their Christmas breakfast (chile relenos casserole). then, after breakfast, we open the gifts. ethan plays the role of santa, and hands each person a gift one at a time. we take time to ooo and ahh at each other's gift. :) it was nice to see all their family traditions. :)

we've been able to walk around in the snow and breathe in the nice crisp mountain air, so that's been nice and refreshing. unfortunately, the altitude still winds me at times, so i'm huffing and puffing like the big bad wolf. ;) i'm hoping that you're having a great Christmas! :)

yikes, it's been over a month! :)

i'm alive and well, despite my blogging absence. :) nat and i had a fabulous time with family and friends in houston for thanksgiving. it was unseasonably warm (i mean almost 80 degrees!), but we enjoyed our time.

since then, i haven't been doing much--sleeping mostly and occasionally doing TA stuff. :) time passes by pretty quickly if you're just a sloth. :) we'll be heading out to colorado on saturday, and it seems it will be a very white Christmas there (they're having blizzards!). hopefully all will go well with the flights and we won't be arriving at an ungodly hour! :)

on another note, i'm hoping that this won't hold true for us by the time nat graduates. :)
